One of West Virginia's best kept secrets is the Valley View
Golf Club located in the beautiful South Branch Valley between Moorefield and Petersburg.
Designed by Russell Roberts and Bill Ward, the course was built in 1968 and plays to 6400
yards from the tips at a par 71.
Valley View is a public golf course for the beginner to the advance player, with four
sets of tees from which to play. Water comes into play on eight holes, forty-one sand bunkers
are scattered through-out the course, and nearly every fairway is lined with trees.
A new 5400 square-foot clubhouse was built along side Oakland Hall, built in 1840 and
listed on the National Register of Historic Places, was once the summer home of New Yorker
Will Engleman. The new clubhouse offers a snack bar, pro shop, and locker rooms.
Come enjoy a wonderful round of golf on one of the best maintained courses in the area
which is located 4 miles south of Moorefield, WV, on Route 220, and 1 hour west of I-81 at Strasburg, VA.
